The Running Rebels competed at the 2010 Hershey Track and Field Event on May 10, 2010.

Placing in the event were the following students:

Age 9 & 10:

100m, Michael Seay placed 3rd. 

400m, Jordan Dalton placed 2nd. 

200m, Emily Clark placed 2nd and Michael Seay placed 3rd.

Age 11 & 12 

800m, Abel Chavez placed 1st and Ethan Gilbert placed 2nd.

400m, Ethan Gilbert placed 1st, Brandon Mitchell and Rachael Ballard placed 2nd, and Matthew Rea placed 3rd. 

200m, Brandon Mitchell placed 1st, Matthew Rea placed 2nd, Amber Lang and Rachael Ballard tied for 3rd.

Long Jump, Brandon Mitchell placed 1st, Ethan Gilbert placed 2nd, Rachael Ballard and Matthew Rea placed 3rd. 

Softball throw, Shane Spencer placed 1st, Tyvin Martin placed 2nd and Nick Rodgers placed 3rd.

Age 13 & 14

1600m, Dylan Harkey placed 3rd.

800m, Megan Harris and Cody King placed 3rd.

200m, Miguel Rodriguez placed 2nd, Chris Gilles and Anna Penn placed 3rd.

Softball throw, Landon Gunter and Megan Harris placed 1st, Kabria Hagwood placed 3rd.

 Mr. Danel Slaydon and Mr. Justin Adams are the coaches for the HRMS team. Winners for the district will compete at the Hershey Track event at UVA later this spring, with the possibility of competing at Hershey, Pennsylvania in the summer.
