FFA dues must be paid today.  The FFA cookout will be held in the Ag shop today for members during lunch.  Dues must be paid in order to come to the cookout.

This Saturday, Sept. 11 will be this years Art in the Park.  There will be games, food and lots of art activities such as painting, mask making, beading and much more.  It starts at 10:30 and runs until 4 p.m. with music and performances in the evening at Rotary Field in Stuart.  Any art students wanting to volunteer for the event, please see Ms. Oliver in room 24.  Extra credit is available for your help.

There will be no JV Volleyball practice today.

Anyone interested in wrestling at the Carroll County Open please see Sergeant R. in room 218.

Sign up for the PSAT in guidance.  Cost is $13.00.  Please make checks payable to PCHS.  Deadline is Sept. 17th.

Club dues for all clubs that meet during "club time" are to be paid today.  Dues can be paid during 3rd block in room 157 to Ms. King.

There will be no English tutoring today.

Any students that participate in last years art show, please stop by the art room to pick up your work.  All work will be thrown out today so please come by room 24 to pick up your items.

Deadline to sign up for October SAT is today.  See Mr. Eckstein in guidance for more information.

FCA members:  If you are interested in being a club officer this year, please come by and see Mrs. Wikstrom in room 213 or Mrs. Fain in room 152 by Tuesday, Sept. 14.

The SCA is taking nominations for homecoming court, make sure you have them turned in by Sept. 24th.

Junior Beta meeting will be held Sept. 13 at 8:45 in the cafeteria.  Questions, see Mrs. Belcher or Goard ASAP.

The Stuart Rotary Club will be sponsoring the Wee, Little, Young, Preteen, Junior and Miss Patrick County Agricultural Fair Pageants on Saturday, Sept 18th in the J.D. Hooker Building at the Stuart Rotary Field.  On stage practice for the pageants will be held September 16th at Rotary Field.  For more information call Donna Pendleton at 276-694-6175 after 7:00 p.m.

Varsity Volleyball won last night at Mt. Airy.  They are now 4-3 overall.

The Varsity Volleyball won last night against Floyd in 5 gamesNext game is tonight against Mt. Airy.

The Cross Country teams traveled to Christiansburg on Saturday to compete in the Blue Demon Invitational.  Both teams finished 8th place overall.  The Cougars travel to Salem Saturday to compete in the Knight's Crossing Invitational.

The Cross Country teams need to be released from class at 3:00 today.  Change and report directly to the bus. 

Robotics Team:  There will  be a Robotics meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 14th after school in room 157.  The field trip scheduled for Sept. 11th has been postponed until Sept. 25th.  A new field trip form must be completed for the new date.  Please stop Ms. King's room to pick up a new permission form or pick one up at the meeting on the 14th.

FFA Members:  FFA dues are $15.00 and must be paid by this Friday, September 10.  The FFA cookout will be held in the Ag shop Friday for FFA members during your lunch.  Dues must be paid in order to come to the cookout.

Freshmen class officer candidates.  Your speeches are Thursday.  Report to the library with your campaign manager Thursday after you check into first block.

Challenge Students:  Permission to Participate forms and Books Abound field trip permission forms are still being taken in Mr. Henderson's room.  The Books Abound permission forms may be turned in as late as Thursday by noon. 

The first Junior Beta meeting will be held Sept. 13 at 8:45 in the cafeteria.  8th graders:  If you were a member at your elementary school, please attend the meeting.  If any 8th grader has a question about membership, see either Mrs. Belcher or Mrs. Goard ASAP.

Junior and Senior Ladies:  The game you've been waiting for the game of the year!!!  The Powder Puff football game is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 27th.  Forms for participation are available on Mrs. King's door room 157.  See Ms. King for information.

Powder Puff Cheerleaders need to see Mrs. Knight and Mrs. Rose.

SCA is taking nominations for homecoming court.  Pictures must be no larger than 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches and must have student name, homeroom teacher and grade written on the back of the picture.  All nominations must be submitted no later than 1 p.m. on Friday Sept. 24th. 

Seniors:  The deadline to sign up for the October SAT is Friday, September 10.  Sign up for SAT at collegeboard.com or pick up a paper registration fee in guidance.  Fee waivers are available for those students on free/ reduced lunch.  See Mr. Eckstein in guidance.

The SCA and Mr. Eckstein will be sponsoring a food drive beginning Tuesday 9/7.  Each homeroom teacher will have a collection box in the room.  The SCA will collect the boxes all week.  At the end of the week the homeroom with the most collected items will have breakfast Tuesday, Sept. 14.
